Rosalie Dean Kelsey

Grantsville, Utah –

Rosalie Dean Kelsey passed away at her home in Grantsville, Utah on Friday, April 8th, 2022. She was 73 years old.

Rosalie’s primary work in life was the care of her children and grandchildren, as well as their many friends who saw her as a mother figure. She was always accepting and her home served as a safe place for many. She had a love for animals that grew stronger throughout her life and found great joy in her animal “babies.” She embodied love itself.

Rosalie also had a keen interest in genealogy and history and was able to trace her ancestry back for centuries. She passed on her love of history and story-telling to her children, as well as an appreciation for art and music. Rosalie brought elegance to all that she did and cultivated an appreciation for everyday pleasures. She loved perfume, sparkly jewelry, and dressing up. She was glamorous, regal, and dignified, yet always put those around her at ease. She was our queen, sweet yet fierce—our “mama bear.”

She is survived by her younger sister June Marie (Jim Johnson) and her five children: Karen, Stephen Christopher (Nila), JoAnna (Jeffrey Robb), Eli Benjamin (Melanie), and Khrystine Danielle (Saeed Ghandi). She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen, and two sisters Rochelle, and Diana

The family will be doing memorial services later in the year.

Anyone can be a mother, some can be a mom, only one can be Mudder.

I’m sorry to hear about this she was such a nice sweet lady who always welcomed me in her home when I lived in Salt Lake city. I was best friends with her daughter Karen and she was so nice to me.
