Hello, I just tried to call Rod and it went to voice mail so I tried a few more times. Then for whatever reason I googled his name. I have no idea why I was compelled to do that. Then I seen his obituary šŸ™ ..
Rod had been a more then wonderful friend to me for 13 years now. He was always such a good listener and had the best advice. He help me threw a awful break up and was always there. I’m so sad to hear about this . If someone could let me know more about what happened that would be good. I know his diabetes was very bad and getting worse. I wish I could make it to his service but I live in IN. God bless his family with peace and comfort. I know for sure he loved his mother sooooo much. He talked about her a lot.
If someone could look me up on FB and let me know more that would be best. Kristin Wampler Gluys

My deepest sympathy to the Garza Family. Mrs. Garza and Tanya my heart is saddened by this news, but find comfort in the Lord. Rod was a great classmate and an even better teammate. Rod was one of the best pitchers that I ever played with and he was so humble about it. Rod, you will be missed. To the family please know that I am proud to call your son and brother Teammate and Friend.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

My sincerest condolences go out to the Garza Family. Lean on the strength of the Lord during this difficult time. Mrs. Garza God blessed you with a wonderful son and Tanya you were lucky to have a brother like Rod. To me he was a great classmate and an even better teammate. He was an outstanding pitcher, who despite being a top performer, remained humble. When you heard talk of how good Rodrigo Garza was, you always knew that it was not coming from his mouth, because he didn’t boast. He let his actions do the talking and he never demanded or wanted to be the center of attention. I am blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Rodrigo and even more privileged to be able to call him friend.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
    2 Corinthians 13:14
