1951 ~ 2019
Robert “BC” or “Bob” Kay Chappell , age 68, of West Valley City Utah passed away on June 2, 2019 in his home after suffering a heart attack.
He was born September 28, 1951 in California to Virginia Evans and Orvid Housley. He was a hard working man, who spent most of his working career driving trucks. He always loved motor cycles, and had been a member of the sundowners motor cycle club since July 1970. He was a wild soul, who loved the wind in his hair. Even though he had a stern demeanor and very dry sense of humor; he was a warm gentle person who loved his family, dogs, and would cry listening to the Beatles “Let it be”.
BC is preceded in death by his father, Orvid Ben Housley; first spouse, Patricia Ann (Roeling) Chappell; third spouse; EveLynn Joyce (Garrett) Chappell; Step father, Burnel Gates; Grandson, John Raymond Butterfield; Son in law, David Scott Robb (Tina); and many of his Sundowner brothers.
BC is survived by Mother Virginia (Evans) Gates; Partner, Debby Wren; second spouse, Sandy; Daughters, Bobbie (Dale) Robbins, Cheryl (John) Butterfield Chappell, Tina (Scott) Chappell, Robin Kay Chappell; Sisters, Carolee Wetmore, Hazel Housley, Sherrie Housley; Brothers, Ray (Cathy) Housley, Timmy Housley, Larry Housley, Val Housley; many Grand children(14), Great Grand children; Sundowner Brothers; and his little four legged buddy, WooWoo.
A celebration of his Life will be held on at 8 p.m. on June, 14, 2019 at the American Legion Post 112, 320 East 3900 South, Salt Lake City 84107. In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help cover after care costs.
