Robert Steven Curtis

1947 ~ 2019  Robert Steven Curtis also known as Steve, will be sadly missed by family and friends. Steve passed away on October 2 at 10:43 and was attended at that time by his sweet daughter, Sherri and his sister Sherri Shana Hall.

Steve will lovingly be remembered by his daughter, Sherri and her two children, Randy and Austin, his siblings; Sherri Shana Hall, Ellen Miller, LuAnn Johnson and Bill Curtis, along with their spouses and children.  Steve made strong friendships in high school and scouts.  Steve’s scouting friends who affectionately called him “Strider” include Dennis Flynn, Richard Mason, Ken Cottle, and Hal Golightly and all were gathered together for a pleasant reunion in the Idaho mountain air a few years back.

He was the first born to Robert Burton Curtis and LaVell Hall on July 19, 1947.  Steve graduated from Granite High school in 1965. Steve enlisted in the Marines in 1966 and served until 1972. He did Aviation Radar repair and Radio and electrician work.  He served in Vietnam in remote areas and was discharged with Honorable Service to his country.

Steve spent the greater portion of his life living in Montana raising his daughter, Sherri.  He enjoyed fishing, walking, gardening, bird watching and everything about the great outdoors.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church at 1610 N Dixie Downs Rd, St. George, Utah on October 4th at 4pm.
