Melvin Jerry Anderson

“Loving Father and Grandfather”

It is with great sadness that the family of Melvin Jerry Anderson announces his passing on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Melvin was born on April 26, 1959 in Nephi, UT to Ted Anderson and Dora Jean Meldrum.

Mel graduated from Utah Valley State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance in 1988. He loved travel and flying planes, making photo collages, cooking, spending time with his children and spoiling his grandchildren. He was skilled with technology and electronics, and had a love for knowledge and learning. He was caring and giving, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his children Brian Anderson (Lyndsay), Jennifer Anderson, Suzanne Anderson Paul (Derrick), and Carly Anderson Dix (Martin), the mother of his children Teri Anderson, his grandchildren Norah Paul, Deidrick Paul, Brian Anderson, Alek Paul, Samuel Paul and Vivian Anderson, as well as his siblings Margaret Behling (Philip), Rosalie Hooks (Don), Darlene Holm (Butch), Ted Anderson, Mary Anderson, Ruth Bigelow (Glenn), and David Anderson (Teri). He was preceded in death by his parents Ted Jewkes Anderson and Dora Jean Meldrum, as well as his grandson Desmond Roscoe Paul.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1st at 10 am, at 2666 W 7000 S, West Jordan, UT. He will be interred at Timpanogos Memorial cemetery in Orem, UT.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to USA Cares.”
