Maddog Stewart

1955 ~ 2014

 

When you lose a loved one, you gain an angel who’s name you know.
Maddog Stewart, 59, passed away Nov. 29, 2014 at his home in West Valley City.
Maddog was born on March 26, 1955 in Ogden, Utah to Ronald and Joleen Stewart.
He married Linda Holbrook on Feb. 12, 1980 in Sunset, Utah. Together they had 1 child, Charly Sue Capes.
Maddog loved everything that had to do with airplanes. He was a volunteer at the Hill Air Force Base museum where he helped in the restoration of the planes. Maddog also loved the outdoors, especially Moab. He and his daughter Charly would take his Jeep rock climbing every chance he got. But most of all Maddog loved being with his family and hanging out with his grand kids Andrew, Taylor and Chance.
Maddog was a dedicated employee for Salt Lake City School District for 34 years.
Maddog is survived by one daughter, Charly (Dan) Capes, 3 grandchildren, Andrew 12, Taylor 5, and Chance 2. Also one brother Lonny (Jeanne) Stewart, Clearfield, Ut. 3 sisters, Debbie (John) Nottingham, Spring, Tx. Cathy (David) Dalton, Clinton, Ut. Patricia Martinez, Ogden, Ut. parents Ronald and Joleen Stewart, Clinton, Ut and many nieces and nephews.
Maddog is proceeded in death by his brother David Stewart.
Services will be held Saturday, December 13 th at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 Redwood Road. Viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt ( Maddog’s favorite attire).
