Ileen Peterson Davis
1942 ~ 2020
Ileen Peterson Davis our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away beautifully and peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 15, 2020 due to health complications including cancer. Mom was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 4, 1942 to Eskel and Viola Peterson and was a significant part of an extended family. Mom attended Orem High School and later received her LPN at Eagle Gate College. Ileen and Theron have 5 children, 41 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren and numerous other loved ones. She operated and managed SOS Discount, a local discount store in West Valley City, for more than 20 years. She always looked forward to Halloween season so she could help her customers get their costumes. Ileen was a Sunrider Independent consultant for over 35 years, which supported her belief in holistic health and regeneration. She emphasized this care and belief throughout her life and instilled these beliefs in her children.
She was fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel the world. Most importantly she lived a life in service to others. From the birth of her first child to the day she left us, she was not only serving her family but also serving her community. Mom followed the promptings of her guardian spirit to lead her to folks in need that she could help. She is survived by Theron, their children Nataleen Johnson (Kent), Nathan Davis (Cindy), April Paulus, Darren Davis (Leesa) and Dolly Stephens (Elden), 41 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren, 6 brothers and 6 sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, 5 sisters, 1 brother and 1 grandson. Mom will be greatly missed. Her home was inviting, due to her kind heart, shining light and the aroma of nourishing meals that met you at her door as her peaceful spirit greeted all who entered.
