Dalen Eli Nyberg
Dalen Eli Nyberg was born 12/08/1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had a playful personality, loved to make people laugh, making jokes and smiling. Watching him smile while he made jokes was always a good time. His laugh was contagious! He cared for everyone no matter if they were strangers, and enjoyed being outside in nature where he could collect rocks or stare into the sky and rest on the grass. He loved working with his hands, playing and listening to music, and being around his family, spending time with them. Dalen was 25 years old when he passed away on 11/20/2020.
The simplest of things brought great joy to Dalen. Finding a cool rock, necklace, or anything that caught his eye and that meant something to him he would keep. He may have even given away his precious item to someone else because that’s who he was, he was a giver. He wanted others to benefit from his knowledge, presence, discoveries, and treasurers he found. He felt he was a protector of us, that it was his duty to be there for others, to take care of them. A song that he loved could give him peace, he was such an easy going guy.
Dalen’s pride was in his work and the things he created, his relationships with family, and in learning. Dalen was very smart, took pride in knowing things others didn’t, and wanted to always share with others what he learned in his life. Dalen loved to read and write, to learn new things, experience new things, living his life to the fullest. The loved ones he leaves behind will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest too.
He is survived by his mother Betina Galloway, father Dennis Alan Nyberg, step-mother Kimberly Ann Nyberg, siblings Katara Martin and husband Kevin (Mackenze, Cannon, Khylee, Maliah), Delaney Kuhnel, Evan Cox, great grandparent Kay Nyberg, grandparents Christene & Judd Lawrence, Frank Nolte, Deb Nyberg (Sara), Uncle Gregory Don Nyberg (Styler, Kaisa, Mandy), along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by great grandparent Renee Hostetler (Rodney, Roy, Cindy), Robert Don Nyberg (Leslie, Dennis), and baby cousin Angelo Galloway. Viewing will be held on November 30, 2020 from 10:30am-12:30pm at 5555 S. 700 W. Murray, Utah 84123 following with burial services at 1:00 pm at Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery at 6500 S. Rest in paradise, buddy. You’re surrounded by love up there, by all of your family who’s gone before and who Loved You. From up there you can watch all of your family here. You will never be forgotten. Love, Aunt Mary.
You sweet handsome young man. I am sorry moved so far and missed so much of your life, your sisters’s, your Moms, and all your family. I have loved you all as my own family and you took me in as your own. Ypu would stay up late to make sure I was okay when you were still just a kid in high school. You have always been wise, kind, and mature beyond your years but also had such a light hearted side that could brighten any bad day. You protected me in ways that weren’t fully apparent at the time. I did the same for you. We were a team in a dark time of life. You were the light though that got us through it. You always wanted to be there to hang out and even if I was making jewelry or doing something “girly” you were right there either joining in or doing your own project. From NV to West Valley to 1300 S the memories are forever imprinted in my heart. I am so grateful to have gotten to know you. You were truly a gem so selfless and pure. You just didnt want to feel the hurt anymore and I get that. May you rest easy and peacefully eternally in the love and memories that your soul withholds. Forever carrying you around and making your life remembered.
To the fam:
I love you all and so sorry for this sadness, this wrenching hurt, this devastation. I will be making something in his memory and mailing to Kat. Please stay strong for him and for each other. Hug each other deeply and let the past dissolve
Sending you all my love, light, energy, and strength.
-Ash
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Many thoughts, prayers and hugs.
