Chan Terry Nordgran
1969 ~ 2018
Loving father, grandfather, son, uncle and brother returned home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday March 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 5, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah to his loving parents Craig Nordgran and Kathy Spencer Stimpson.
Chan grew up with a love for all things outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spent many memorable years hunting with his family and friends. Chan had a great love for hunting with his bird dog Dudley.
Chan was very outgoing and made everyone feel welcome by his friendly sarcastic personality. He always had a smile on his face and was quite a practical joker. Chan’s laugh was infectious and would cause everyone else around him to laugh. Chan was loved by many and was always willing to help people out whenever they were in need.
Chan was oldest of three children. He was preceded in death by his best friend and cousin Carter Benson and his step father, Lynn Stimpson.
Chan is survived by the love of his life Chrissy Edwards, his grandfather Ross Spencer, his father Craig (Becky) Nordgran, his mother Kathy Stimpson, his brother Spencer (Heather) Nordgran, his sister Heather (Ryan) Wilkins, his daughters Haylee Nordgran, Amberly Nordgran and Paige Edwards, his stepson Chase Carter, his granddaughter Brexlee and grandson Easton and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Crissy Chrissy Edwards sorry for your loss. I hadn’t seen Chan since that time I went for steak dinner at the club, but he was very nice helping me get my plate, and kept me company while you were serving. I know you guys been together for the longest through thick & thin. I’m sorry for your loss, but know he isn’t suffering from the Cancer anymore. He is truly yours & Paiges guardian angel now. Hugz to both of you. I would like to donate a dish for your funeral luncheon, please contact me.

So sorry to hear of Chan,s death. Chan was named after me so I always felt a bond toward him although I never had the privilege of knowing him very well. We only met once at a family reunion held many years ago around 1980 at Brighton. We will be unable to attend his funeral but offer our deepest condolences to all the remaining family members.
Chan’s Great Uncle, Chan Hansen

Chrissy, Kathy, and Craig. I am so sorry that Chan has passed. He was very positive through all of his treatment and very brave. He knew his time was limited but he was determined to live his life to the greatest with the time he had. Chan was very special to me. He had that boyish grin and would help me whenever I needed it. Chrissy, he loved you very much and would do anything for you. He asked me to look after you and I will do my best to honor his wishes. All of you mean a lot to Kevon and I. We will miss Chan very much!!

My Chan,
Its been 2 weeks my love. I miss you each day. I’m sure you know what’s in my heart…but want to tell you how grateful I am for the time we had together. We sure packed a lot of living in while we were together. I learned so much from you. You faced your life with such enthusiasm and positivity. Your heart was so big and full of love. (Even though you tried to hide it from others lol). Right from the start you treated Paige as your own, and she was!
Even when we found out you were sick and we were so scared….you were so brave and sought out the positive. You comforted me even when it should’ve been more the other way. You fought like the warrior you are and faced everything with such dignity. You will always be my hero. My super chan!
I’m so glad you aren’t suffering any more. I know you must be hunting and fishing with Lynn, Carter & Chris. You always lit up when you were in the mountains doing what you loved. So that’s how I picture you my love.
You will always be with me my baby doll. It’s been so hard, honey. But I will do my best to always make you proud!
Your Girl Always,
Chrissy
