Austin Jason Buchanan
1997~2019
On June 8, 2019 our son, Austin Jason Buchanan passed away at home surrounded by family and friends. Austin was born June 26, 1997.
He was the second born of three siblings and the third of seven cousins who never separated growing up. They caused many troubles, endless sleepover shenanigans and too many giggles to count. Though their number is one less, the memories are now more precious and cherished.
Austin enjoyed camping with his parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins and family pets. He loved hunting with his dad, hiking and checking the game cameras. If a water source was close by, Austin and his sisters could be found playing in them. Austin was also a gamer; he kept his parents up many nights hollering through the vents. Tyler Holdaway, a cousin was his online P.I.C. Mr. Tubs was Tyler’s gamertag, Donkiy was Austin’s. Mr. Tubs and Donkiy could be heard laughing and joking back and forth while playing ARK.
Austin Jason is survived by his parents; Jason and April Buchanan; older sister Jennifer (Devin Ortiz) and younger sister Caylee (Brandon Ross) his beloved dog, Baby Girl Bella; multiple grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He is preceeded in death by his great-grandpa Charles Berdell Syme, Grandma Vicki Sue Buchanan and Great-Grandpa Verl Lynn Holdaway.
On Saturday, June 15, 2019 we will be having a celebration of life for Austi from 12-2 and a luncheon for family and friends from 2-3 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3745 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah 84128.
Please no formal dress, that was not our son. Come dressed casual, but respectful for the church-house.
An account has been set up at any Zions bank in his name, Austin Jason Buchanan, in lieu of flowers.
